DENVER ( KDVR ) — The Pearl Fire burning in northern Larimer County near Crystal Lakes is now 25% contained.

The fire sparked on Monday and was deemed human-caused after officials found the fire started on private property.

Over the past five days, the fire has not grown significantly, but on Thursday night, the U.S. Forest Service said containment is increasing.

The U.S. Forest Service said the Pearl Fire sits at 128 acres, down from the originally reported 138 acres, with 25% containment. Currently, 270 personnel are on scene fighting the fire. The forest service said crews successfully increased containment along the southern perimeter which helped them establish lines along the northern and western edge of the fire.

Only one structure has been impacted by the fire as of Wednesday afternoon, according to Larimer County Sheriff John Feyen. The structure was scorched at the fire’s point of origin.

On Thursday, multiple evacuation orders were also lifted. According to NoCo Alerts , mandatory evacuations are still in place for Crystal Lake residents and those living off of Pearl Beaver Road west to Deadman Lookout.

Residents and recreationists in the area are encouraged to text LCEVAC to 888777 for updates.

There are two road closures in place around the fire perimeter. CO Road 73C and Modoc Court, and North County Road 73C and Forest Road 181 A are closed.
