3 motorcycle police officers injured in a crash during a training exercise

DENVER ( KDVR ) — Three motorcycle officers were injured in a crash during a training exercise in Arapahoe County Thursday night.

The Arapahoe County Sheriff’s Office said the motorcycle traffic unit was partaking in a multi-agency training . At around 6:30 p.m., the sheriff’s office said a crash happened at South Himalaya Street and East Chenango Drive in Centennial.

Three police officers on motorcycles were injured . The sheriff’s office confirmed none of the injured officers were with Arapahoe County but with other agencies at the training.

The sheriff’s office said none of the officers sustained serious injuries, but two were taken to local hospitals for observation.

The crash is currently under investigation.
