    Thornton police release new information on hit-and-run driver

    THORNTON, Colo. ( KDVR ) — Thornton police released new information and images of a car and a driver who, they said, intentionally hit a pedestrian.

    Investigators said the incident happened on Sept. 13 at around 7:30 p.m.

    During that time, a vehicle sped past a pedestrian near York Street and 128 th Avenue. The pedestrian then yelled at the driver to slow down.

    At that point, the driver allegedly turned around and intentionally aimed at the pedestrian. The pedestrian was hit and seriously injured.

    The driver then took off.

    Nearly two weeks later, police are still searching for the car and the driver, and they have released more information. According to officers, the car was a black 1997 Honda Civic. It has the Colorado plate O-D-S-2-3-2.

    The car also has a red sticker on the rear driver’s side window that is shaped like a puzzle piece.
