Shawn Mendes announces ‘for friends and family only’ show at Red Rocks

DENVER (KDVR) – Singer-songwriter Shawn Mendes announced several new tour stops on Wednesday, including a ‘ for friends and family only ‘ concert at Red Rocks Amphitheatre on Oct. 28.

The show is advertised as ‘friends and family only,’ and fans will have to sign up before Monday, Sept. 30 at 7 a.m. in order to buy tickets when they go on sale.

A priority seating presale will start at 10 a.m. that day, where fans can add a credit card and ticket preference to skip the queue and auto-buy tickets in the first few rows of the venue.

Then, on Tuesday at 10 a.m., a limited number of fans will be selected to receive a code that will allow them to buy up to four tickets at the venue website.

Anyone who does not receive a code will be put on a waitlist.

“We expect the demand for tickets to be overwhelming and quantities are very limited,” the website for the sale said .

It explained that the system was to “help tickets get into the hands of fans – not scalpers and bots.”

Mendes’ new album “Shawn” will be released on Oct. 18. The Red Rocks concert will be the last of five shows in the U.S. following the album’s release.

Shows in Berlin, Mexico City and Toronto were also announced alongside the show at Red Rocks.
