DENVER (KDVR) — Part of northbound Interstate 25 is blocked Thursday afternoon as crews work to clean a diesel fuel spill.

South Metro Fire Rescue said Greenwood Village police, the Colorado Department of Transportation and the Colorado State Patrol responded after fuel leaked from a semi-truck on northbound I-25 near the Arapahoe Road westbound on-ramp around 1:24 p.m.

“Approximately 10-15 gallons of diesel fuel has spilled and is contained, no fuel has affected any waterways,” SMFR said in a post on X.

Just before 2 p.m., the fire agency said the two right lanes are blocked while crews work to clean up the spill.
