GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. ( KREX ) — In memory of Colorado Department of Transportation workers Trent Umberger and Nathan Jones , a poker run will be held Saturday, Oct. 5, starting at the Sutherlands parking lot at 11 a.m.

Any funds collected will be split between both of the victims’ families.

Only cash donations will be accepted.

Organizer Tiffany Lancaster says if you can’t make this weekend’s poker run, you can still donate.

“There’s several jars set up around businesses around town. Barnes Electric, where I work, is one of the businesses that have donation jars set up. RNR Tire is another business. So there are businesses that do have jars set up if you cannot make the run.”

The poker run stops are listed below.

    • Start – Sutherlands parking lot 11 a.m.
    • First stop – Gameday at 2460 Patterson Road
    • Second stop – VFW at 1404 Ute Ave.
    • Third stop – RNR Tire at 2865 North Ave.
    • Fourth stop – CDOT Park and Ride at 113 32 Road
    • Fifth stop – OM Cruisers at 2692 Highway 50
    • Final stop – Moose Lodge at 567 25 1/2 Road

What a truly awesome thing to do for these road workers who were just doing their job, my condolences to their families, friends and co workers. Remember their laughter and smiles forever, they are not forgotten.
