    Denver weather: Record heat and staying dry Wednesday

    DENVER ( KDVR ) — With mainly sunny skies and light winds, highs will be near 90 degrees. The Pinpoint Weather team said Wednesday should break a few records across the Front Range in the Denver weather forecast.

    Weather today: Record heat

    Most of Colorado will enjoy abundant sunshine on Wednesday, which will warm the metro to 90 degrees. This should break the current record high of 88 degrees.

    Winds will be light most of the day with an elevated fire risk closer to the Wyoming border.

    Weather tonight: Clear skies

    Skies will stay clear Wednesday night as winds remain light out of the southwest. Overnight low temperatures will dip into the upper 40s, keeping Denver above average.

    Looking ahead: More heat and sunny skies

    Thursday will have some relief from the heat, but it will still be above average in the upper 70s with sunny skies.

    Denver just experienced the hottest September in history

    Friday is back to the middle 80s with plenty of sunshine.

    Saturday could be another record-high day with lots of sunshine and highs in the upper 80s, the current record is 86 degrees.

    Sunday finishes off the weekend with some great weather to watch the Broncos. It’ll be mild with above-average highs near 80 degrees and a few extra clouds.

    Abundant sunshine is here for the start of next week with warm highs in the lower 80s.
