Motorcyclist dies in crash, police believe speed a factor

DENVER (KDVR) – A motorcyclist died after a crash with another vehicle Wednesday afternoon in Aurora, according to the Aurora Police Department.

The crash happened on westbound East Quincy Avenue in the area of Buckley Road around 2 p.m.

According to police, the motorcycle was westbound on Quincy Avenue while a second vehicle was turning. The two collided in the roadway.

The motorcyclist, an adult male, was pronounced dead on the scene.

The driver of the other vehicle, an adult female, was taken to a local hospital with minor injuries.

APD said it believes speed was a factor.

All lanes of westbound Quincy Avenue were closed west of Buckley Road due to the crash.
