    How much do wages increase for those sticking with a job in Colorado?

    DENVER (KDVR) — With an increased cost of living across the country, pay is at the top of many workers’ minds across the country.

    A recent research survey of nearly 35,000 workers by Automatic Data Processing, Inc., commonly known as ADP, found that pay is the No. 1 priority for employees across the United States.

    The median annual wage increase for people who stayed in their jobs decreased slightly in September to 4.7%, with a median annual pay for job-stayers across the country at $58,700. Wage growth declined even more for job changers, falling from 7.3% in August to 6.6% in September, according to ADP.

    According to ADP, the median annual salary in Colorado as of September was $65,800.

    Coloradans who stayed in their jobs for at least 12 months saw a greater wage increase than the national average. According to ADP, job stayers across Colorado were rewarded with a 5.2% wage increase since last September.

    Wage increases for job stayers across the country varied by state , ranging as low as 3.5% in Mississippi to as high as 6.8% in Montana.
