Thursday, crews with the sheriff’s office, Grand County Search and Rescue and a specialized team from Teton County, Wyoming recovered the hiker’s body.

The specialized team, which includes members of Teton County Search and Rescue and the National Park Service Grand Teton National Park, supplied crews with equipment and technical expertise, the sheriff’s office said.

“They were able to safely navigate the difficult terrain that had posed a challenge to previous recovery efforts,” the sheriff’s office said.
