Eastbound Colfax closed in Aurora due to crash, 1 in hospital

DENVER ( KDVR ) — A man was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries after a crash in Aurora Saturday evening.

The Aurora Police Department said a motorcyclist and a motorist crashed near Colfax Avenue and Akron Street.

Police said the man riding the motorcycle was taken to a hospital with life-threatening injuries, and the other driver stayed on the scene.

Crash investigators are on the scene, and all lanes of eastbound Colfax Avenue are closed between Yosemite Street and Akron Street.

No further details were immediately available.
