Denver Weather: Comfortable end to a hot weekend

DENVER (KDVR) — Temperatures will not be as warm Sunday as they were Saturday, but Denver weather will continue with the above-average temperatures.

If you plan on going to the Broncos game in the afternoon, you’re in for a great day! Temperatures by the late morning will be in the 70s with temperatures topping out in the upper 70s and lower 80s during the game.

Weather today: Sunny and comfy

Sunday features temperatures that are cooler than yesterday, but still above average for this time of the year. Highs will max out in the upper 70s and lower 80s with winds out of the east anywhere from 5-10 mph and ample sunshine.

Weather tonight: Areas of smoke, otherwise clear

There are some wildfires burning to the north and east of our state, and because of this, you should look for some smoky and hazy skies after midnight Sunday.

Overnight lows drop into the upper 40s and lower 50s, and some of the smoke will stick around for the first half of the day tomorrow.

Looking ahead: Another warm week ahead

The extended forecast will remain quiet for next week. Expect daily sunshine and unseasonably warm temperatures in the lower 80s.

There might finally be a change in Denver’s weather pattern next weekend. There are early, but consistent, signs that a cool down could come to start the second half of the month, and potentially some much-needed precipitation.
