    3 things to know about Donald Trump’s visit to Aurora, Colorado

    DENVER (KDVR) — Former President Donald Trump is scheduled to fulfill a promise he made at a rally three weeks ago to visit Aurora.

    During a rally in Uniondale, New York on Sept. 18, Trump said he would visit Aurora and Springfield, Ohio, in the next two weeks. On Oct. 2, the two-week mark since that statement, there was no word on the former president visiting the city. But on Monday, the campaign announced that he would be in Aurora for a rally.

    “We are aware that former President Trump plans to visit Aurora on Friday. The city, including the Aurora Police Department, will work with its partner agencies as requested,” the city said in a statement Monday.

    Here are the details and things to know about the former president’s visit:

    When, where will Trump will visit

    Donald Trump will visit the Gaylord Rockies Resort and Convention Center, located at 6700 N Gaylord Rockies Blvd. near the Denver International Airport, on Friday, Oct. 11.

    Doors are scheduled to open at 10 a.m. and Trump will speak at 1 p.m.

    Those who wanted to attend the event must have signed up in advance, and the event is now full according to the online page. However, people can watch the event virtually.

    When was the last time Trump visited Colorado?

    The last time the former president was in the Centennial State was in August when he visited Aspen for a private fundraiser . He did not make any public appearances during that visit.

    The last time Trump made a public appearance in Colorado was for a rally in Colorado Springs in 2020. The visit was part of a nationwide “Stop the Steal” tour.

    I agree with Romero 100%!! I also hope Trump visits the neighborhoods where these situations are occurring on a regular basis, not just the Gaylord, which is a far cry from the reality of the places we call home. The true North Aurora.
