DENVER (KDVR) — The metro area’s stretch of quiet weather will continue for the next several days. Denver’s weather will stay dry, but Pinpoint Weather, Colorado’s Most Accurate Forecast, is tracking some cooler weather coming this way.

    Weather tonight: Cool and calm

Colorado will see uneventful weather overnight Wednesday. Temperatures in the plains will fall into the 40s, with metro Denver cooling to around 50 degrees Thursday morning.

Denver’s average low temperature is now below 40 degrees, so the area is still experiencing relatively mild nights for early October.

Drier conditions are expected Thursday across the state underneath clear to mostly sunny skies. Temperatures will warm into the 80s across the state, with some towns in southeast Colorado once again touching 90 degrees. The mountains will be in the 70s.

Looking ahead: No rain or snow, but cooler air is coming

Although the extended forecast is still dry, there will be some changes coming. A cold front Friday will knock temperatures down into the middle 70s in eastern Colorado with an increase in cloud cover. Denver briefly jumps back into the 80s Saturday before another cold front sees temperatures in the 70s Sunday.

Next week shows signs of being cooler. Monday begins with temperatures in the low 70s, but Tuesday should fall into the middle 60s, which is normal for middle October.

But, it doesn’t last long. By the middle of next week, Denver will see a return of unseasonably warm temperatures in the middle 70s.
