    Man found lying in Aurora street with gunshot wound succumbs to his injuries

    DENVER (KDVR) — A man was in serious condition Saturday after an Aurora resident found him lying in the street with a gunshot wound and called 911.

    The Aurora Police Department said officers responded to the report of a shooting at 2:42 p.m. in the 1900 block of Kingston Street.

    Police do not know if the shooting happened where the man was found or at a different location.

    The victim appears to be a man, and police do not know his age yet.

    He was taken to a hospital where Aurora police reported he had succumbed to his injuries.

    An investigation is ongoing, and the police department said they do not have any suspect information as of Saturday afternoon.

    That area of Aurora has always had a bad reputation. I grew up in Aurora in the 60’s and 70’s.
