DENVER (KDVR) — Science, technology, engineering and mathematics, STEM, jobs are some of the most crucial jobs to supporting life as we know it. People in these fields are responsible for medical treatment, advancing technology, researching science and engineering the cities and communities that people live in.

A study conducted by CYTENA revealed what STEM workers are making on average in different states around the U.S. Salary data was taken from 76 STEM jobs listed on Glassdoor.com, a job listing board, and averaged results to find the mid-point salary before taxes. Job titles that returned fewer than 100 salary submissions were not included in the report.

Colorado has one of the highest voter turnouts in U.S.

“STEM professions are widely renowned for being highly remunerative positions. However, individuals who dream of pursuing them must go through many years of studies and various career steps before reaching their goals, often including a dream salary that can provide for a comfortable lifestyle,” said Yafees Sarwar, Director of Marketing at CYTENA.

STEM salaries in Colorado were able to sneak into the top 10 states in the nation.
