Authorities searching for escaped inmate in southern Colorado

FREMONT COUNTY, Colo. ( KXRM ) — The Colorado Department of Corrections said it is looking for an inmate who escaped from the Arrowhead Correctional Center located in the East Canon Complex near Cañon City.

According to the CDOC, the inmate, identified as Leaf A. Glimpse, was serving an eight-year sentence for burglary at the time of his escape. When the escape was discovered, a search team was activated, law enforcement was notified and a search was underway.

Glimpse is described as:

• 34-year-old white man
• 5 feet, 4 inches tall
• Weighs 185 lbs.
• Has brown hair and blue eyes

He was last seen wearing CDOC-issued green pants, a white t-shirt, and black boots with a tan sole.

The CDOC said if you see him, do not approach and contact 911 to notify law enforcement.

The Office of the Inspector General is investigating the escape.
