DENVER (KDVR) — It’s been a very warm start to fall, and Oct. 16 was another day over 80 degrees.

While Wednesday’s temperature was not warm enough to set a daily record, it’s well above the mid-60s that are typical for this time of year.

On average, Denver sees its last day of the year at or above 80 degrees or warmer on October 11. But, the Denver area has said goodbye to the 80s as early as Sept. 15 in 1882, and as late as Nov. 27 in 2017.

October 16 is late to still see temperatures this warm, but far from setting records. Since record-keeping began in 1872, Denver has recorded highs in the 80s in November four times.
