Girl found safe, Amber Alert cancelled

(PUEBLO, Colo.) — Sandra Mendoza has been found safe, and the Amber Alert has been cancelled. The alert cancellation did not specify whether the suspect had been found or whether law enforcement is still looking for him.

Amber alert issued for girl in truck stolen in Pueblo

An Amber Alert has been issued for a girl who was in a truck when it was stolen from Pueblo, after the truck was recovered but the girl and the suspect are still unaccounted for.

According to the Pueblo Police Department (PPD), the truck was found in the 1100 block of Cypress Street, east of the Colorado State Fair, though the girl and the suspect were not located. The girl has been identified as Sandra Mendoza, and PPD said she is possibly in danger. She was last seen in the truck that was stolen from the 1200 block of South Prairie Avenue, west of the State Fair.

Sandra is described as a Hispanic girl with black hair and hazel eyes. She is 5 feet tall and weighs approximately 100 pounds. She was last seen wearing a black shirt and blue jeans. She is presumed to be with the suspect, who is described as a Hispanic male.

ORIGINAL STORY: 13-year-old girl inside truck when it was stolen

The Pueblo Police Department (PPD) is looking for a 14-year-old girl who was inside a truck when it was stolen.

According to PPD , a 13-year-old girl was in a 2005 Ford F-250 when the truck was stolen from the south side of Pueblo. The truck is white with an enclosed bed, and bears the license plate BLB-C78.
