DENVER (KDVR) — The Lakewood Police Department is searching for information after gunfire erupted at a QuickTrip gas station in the 5200 block of West Mississippi Avenue on Saturday, just after midnight.

According to police, there was a “disturbance” at the gas station that resulted in gunfire. No injuries were reported.

Police said there were “several” large groups of people at the gas station, which is at the intersection of Sheridan Boulevard and Mississippi Avenue. Gunshots were heard “nearby several minutes later,” which prompted a large police response, the Lakewood department said.

The agency is looking for more information about the incident and said officers believe this to be an isolated incident with no danger to the public.

However, anyone with information or who may have witnessed the incident is asked to call the Lakewood Police Department at 303-987-7536.
