Northbound I-25 closed Sunday night near Colorado Boulevard for multi-vehicle crash

DENVER (KDVR) — Denver police said a multi-vehicle crash closed northbound Interstate 25 at Evans Avenue on Sunday night.

Denver police released a post on X detailing the agency’s response . The police department said officers were investigating a traffic crash with serious injuries involving at four vehicles at Colorado Boulevard.

The agency told FOX31 there were three people transported, and the agency was barricading the highway from incoming motorists heading northbound as far south as Hampden Avenue.

The Colorado Department of Transportation reported the road was closed due to police activity at Colorado Boulevard.

Cameras from the transportation department showed a large police response at Evans Avenue at about 9:30 p.m.

The Denver police said multiple people were being transported to hospitals for their injuries, but the extent of those wounds was unknown as of 9:40 p.m. Alternate routes are advised for motorists.
