KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A lot of folks try to emulate Patrick Mahomes but some have a natural look that may raise some eyebrows.

That’s the case with new Nebraska five-star quarterback Dylan Raiola.

Nebraska’s highly touted freshman instantly drew comparisons to the Kansas City Chiefs star QB when he moved into fall camp for the Cornhuskers. Raiola sported shades similar to Mahomes’s signature Oakley shades as he walked into the dorms with an Adidas shirt on, the sports outfitter that sponsors Mahomes.

The chinstache, brown skin and curly hair also drive home the point to some people who say they look alike.

Former Chiefs receiver and Miami Dolphins star Tyreek Hill noted to Mahomes on social media how they both looked alike.

“That’s my lil cuzzo,” Mahomes replied to Hill signaling his approval.

They certainly look more alike than Mahomes does to a Kermit the Frog puppet with some fake hair on top.

The two also have a similar build with Mahomes listed at 6’2, 225 pounds and Raiola at 6’3, 220 pounds. Mahomes was a three-star prospect in college compared to Raiola’s five stars.

Raiola already has a leg up in the genetic pool as the son of longtime Detroit Lions center Dominic Raiola and is the godson of Los Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford, formerly of the Detroit Lions.

Nebraska fans can hope that a connection may be sparked between the two to help Raiola reach his lofty status coming into college. For Chiefs fans and Mahomes, he adds another member to his large family.
