ODESSA, Mo. — An Odessa woman won a new car after the Prize Patrol from Publishers Clearing House showed up to her house on Tuesday.

Kathryn Nance was awarded with a new  Ford Escape Plug-in Hybrid. She chose the cash value of the car instead which was valued at $49,115.

When the Prize Patrol van pulled into the driveway, the woman’s husband, Steve Nance stated “She’s not at home!” But as the husband was talking to one of the member’s of the Prize Patrol, the woman pulled up to house.

    “She’s home!” Steve shouted.

Kathryn got out of the car in disbelief, covering her mouth before receiving her prize. “I hope this is what I think it is!” Kathryn said.

She said the first thing she will do with the prize money is take a vacation with her kids and grandkids. It will be a first for the family. “I want to see my grandkids on the beach!” She said.

Steve was also in shock and even admitted that he told his wife entering was a waste of time.

Kathryn has entered the drawing for over 10 years now and does so across all of PCH’s apps every night, with her favorite being PCHLotto.

“It’s real. Regular people win! We’re just regular everyday people in a small town. I can’t believe this. I’m still in shock.”
