Boil water advisory issued after leak in Plattsburg on Friday

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The City of Plattsburg, Mo. has issued a boil advisory for the entire municipal water system, including outlying customers.

The city claims that until test results are obtained, residents are advised to consider boiling water before use. Water testing will begin tomorrow at 6 a.m. August 17.

The city noticed a leak and a drop in water system pressure. The Missouri Department of Natural Resources may need up to seven days to complete testing.

More information will be provided here when the test results are confirmed.
