    Kansas City police identifies 21-year-old man found dead in car

    KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Police are investigating after a man was shot and killed in a car early Sunday morning in Kansas City, Missouri.

    According to KCPD, just before 1:50 a.m., officers were dispatched to the area of East 82nd Street and Kenwood Avenue on reports of a shooting.

    One dead, two injured in shooting near Midtown in Kansas City

    Upon arrival, officers began searching for possible victims or a crime scene. While canvassing the area of East 82nd Street and Holmes Road, KCPD found a man, 21-year-old Treshaun Wright, inside a vehicle suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. He was later pronounced dead at the scene.

    This case is being investigated as a homicide, KCPD said, and detectives are searching the area for potential witnesses or additional leads related to the shooting.
