    KCPD investigating homicide after man dies from head injury

    KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Kansas City Police are investigating after one man died from a head injury on Sunday afternoon.

    Around 9:30 a.m., officers were called to the 4100 block of N. Brighton Ave. on reports of an assault.

    When they arrived, they found a man lying on the concrete suffering from apparent head trauma. A witness at the scene said an adult male suspect and the victim had been in a verbal argument that turned into a physical altercation where the victim fell and hit his head.

    The victim was taken to the hospital in critical condition. Around 3:50 p.m., officers were notified that the victim had succumbed to his injuries.

    The victim has been identified as 78-year-old Harold Anderson. A person of interest has been identified and detectives are working to locate him.
