One critically injured in Monday night shooting in Kansas City

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The Kansas City Police Department is investigating after a shooting left one person in critical condition Monday night.

According to KCPD, officers were dispatched to the area of 87th Street and Oldham Road — between Oldham Farms and the Loma Lista neighborhoods — just after 6:30 p.m.

Upon arrival, officers found a victim suffering from multiple apparent gunshot wounds.

KCPD said the victim was taken to a hospital in critical condition.
