    Fight leads to deadly shooting at Kansas City home Tuesday morning

    KANSAS CITY, Mo. — One person is dead and another is in the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries after an argument led to a shooting on Tuesday morning in Kansas City.

    According to the Kansas City Police Department, officers were dispatched to a home near Ditman Way and East 96th Place at about 10:45 a.m.

    Upon arrival, officers found two men in front of the home suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.

    KCPD said that both victims were taken to a hospital. One of the men was reported to have non-life-threatening injuries, while the other died at the hospital shortly after arriving.

    Preliminary investigations revealed that prior to the shooting, the victim who died arrived at the home and was quickly involved in an argument.

    According to KCPD, the argument then led to gunfire between the two men, causing both to be hit.

    It was reported that the victims were familiar with each other, and detectives were not looking for additional suspects at this time.
