Man wins $100,000 after buying scratchers ticket at QuikTrip in Blue Springs

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — An early morning stop to buy some scratchers tickets at a QuikTrip in Blue Springs ended with one man winning $100,000.

The winner purchased three $100 Million Cash Bonanza tickets at the QuikTrip off 40 Highway and 7 Highway.

The $20 game offers more than $100 million in cash prizes, including 30 prizes from $100,000 to $4 million, 225,000 prizes from $100 to $500 and 4,800 prizes from $1,000 to $20,000.

“I purchased two tickets, but something told me to get one more,” the winner explained to the Missouri Lottery . “And that one was it.”

The Missouri Lottery says after scratching the ticket, he shared the news of his win with the store clerk and asked her “not to yell or anything.”

“I have won small amounts on this ticket before, and I just like this one,” the winner told the Missouri Lottery .
