Man dead, woman hurt in late night shooting in Kansas City

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A man is dead and one woman is hurt after a shooting in Kansas City, according to Kansas City police.

It happened around 11:45 Wednesday night near 40th and Norton.

According to police, when they arrived, they found a man on the porch of a house suffering from a gunshot wound. That man was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police say another woman was taken to the hospital with a gunshot wound; her injuries are not life-threatening.

According to KCPD, no arrests have been made, and they’re working to identify a person of interest.
