913 day deals and events going on in the Kansas side of the metro

KANSAS CITY, Kan. — It’s September 13 which means it’s 913 Day and the Kansas side of the metro is celebrating!

The celebration pays homage to the area code used in the area and several businesses are offering special deals and events to encourage people to get out and explore the 913.

Here are some of the events and deals going on:

913 Day in the Dotte

Friday from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. on Minnesota Avenue between 7th and 8th streets. Experience live entertainment, a DJ, support local vendors and enjoy activities for you and the family.

Downtown Overland Park

To celebrate, on Sept. 13 a lot of Downtown Overland Park restaurants and retailers are hosting sales and specials. Hours may vary, so check in before you stop by!

Dave & Buster’s at the Legends

There will be a rooftop party at Dave & Buster’s in The Legends. The event will be held from 8 p.m. to 1 a.m. You must be 21 years old to go to the rooftop party.

Collect 913 pounds of non-perishable food

The food will be given to the New Hope Food Pantry in Olathe. Fill up a bag or even your trunk and head to the parking lot of Ascend Church in Olathe from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., pull in and pop your trunk and we’ll do the rest!
