KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Ahead of their highly anticipated rematch against the Orlando Pride Friday night, the Kansas City Current was welcomed with a special gift that Taylor Swift fans are quite familiar with.

KC Current posted on social media ahead of the match, thanking the Pride social team for specially made friendship bracelets gifted to them.

The friendship bracelets also came with a note from Orlando with many phrases Taylor Swift fans will also be familiar with.

“KC Social Team, welcome to Florida!!! We hope there’s no Bad Blood between us. We know it’s been a fortnight since we’ve faced off and we know this rivalry has a big reputation and we hope it lives up to the hype! Best of luck tonight, Pride Social Team.”

Friday night is also “Orlando Pride Eras Night” where Orlando fans can buy merchandise themed after Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour.

The two teams last met on July 6 at CPKC Stadium where the Pride emerged with a 2-1 victory. The match was highly contested, featuring 29 total fouls and seven yellow cards between the two teams.

With just seven matches remaining in the NWSL regular season, the Current have an opportunity to secure a spot in the postseason this week by first beating Orlando, then, either the North Carolina Courage has to get a win or draw against Bay FC Saturday or NJ/NY Gotham has to beat or tie the Seattle Reign Monday plus, Chicago needs to win or tie at the Portland Thorns Friday night or Racing Louisville needs to have a win/draw against Angel City Saturday.

KC Current currently stands in third place and after visiting first-place Orlando Friday, KC will host second-place Washington Spirit at CPKC Stadium on Sept. 20.
