Chiefs WR Hollywood Brown expected to miss entire 2024 regular season

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Bad news regarding Marquise “Hollywood” Brown’s shoulder injury is continuing to pour in after the wide receiver was placed on the IR yesterday , September 13.

Today, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that Hollywood Brown is expected to miss the entirety of the 2024 regular season. Schefter did, however, also report that Brown could be back in time for the postseason, but not any sooner than mid-January.

Reports say that Brown had been doing well in rehab, but it was revealed that a bone in Brown’s shoulder had moved, creating the need for surgery.

This comes after head coach Andy Reid said that the injury was likely to keep Brown out for months, not weeks, as many fans hoped and expected to see Brown suit up in one of the next few games.

Losing the biggest free-agent signing of the offseason will force the Chiefs to move forward with Rashee Rice and Xavier Worthy as Mahomes’ top targets in the Chiefs offense.
