    Suspect arrested, charged in Tuesday night KCK homicide

    KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Kansas City, Kansas police say they have arrested a suspect connected to a deadly shooting earlier this week .

    According to KCKPD, the Wyandotte County District Attorney has charged 53-year-old Willie Lee Rucker, of KCK, with second-degree, intentional murder, criminal discharge of a firearm at an occupied vehicle and unlawful possession of a weapon by a convicted felon.

    KCK police officers responded to the area of N. 7th Street and Parallel Parkway just after 10:40 p.m. Tuesday on reports of a person lying in the street.

    When officers arrived on scene they found a man, identified as 44-year-old Jimmie Clark, Jr., with apparent gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

    Rucker is currently being held in the Wyandotte County jail on a $250,000 bond.

    KCKPD says the incident is still under investigation. Anyone with information that can help detectives is asked to call the TIPS Hotline at (816) 474-8477.
