Victim killed in Saturday KCK shooting identified by police

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The Kansas City, Kansas Police Department is investigating a shooting that left one man dead in the Armourdale neighborhood of KCK.

KCKPD officers responded to the shooting just before 3:30 p.m. in the area of S. 10th Street and Kansas Avenue, near Bill Clem Park.

When responding officers arrived, they found 28-year-old Trever Michael Rickerson, of KCK, suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. Rickerson was pronounced dead on the scene.

The incident is under investigation by KCKPD Major Case Unit.
