    Police investigating after man dies from ‘bodily trauma’ in Kansas City

    KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Police are investigating after a man was found dead in Kansas City, Missouri late Saturday night.

    According to the Kansas City Police Department, just before 10:20 p.m., officers were dispatched to the 10500 block of East 42nd Street on reports of a dead body.

    Upon arrival, officers found a man suffering from “bodily trauma.” Reports said emergency responders later pronounced him dead at the scene. He has been identified as 73-year-old Ollie Thompson.

    This case is being investigated as a homicide, according to KCPD. Detectives and crime scene investigators are canvassing the area for witnesses and physical evidence.
