    New historic hotel opening in downtown Kansas City next month

    KANSAS CITY, Mo. —  The AC Hotel Kansas City Downtown will officially open next month, bringing modern amenities to the historic Rialto Building in the Financial District.

    The hotel will officially open on Oct. 10. The hotel is steps away from popular attractions like the T-Mobile Center, Kansas City Music Hall, Power and Light District and the Kauffman Center.

    The hotel is a 12-minute drive for Kansas City Chiefs and Royals fans to Arrowhead and Kauffman Stadiums. CPKC Women’s Soccer Stadium is two miles away.

    The historic architecture of the building is blended with modern design at the AC Hotel Kansas City Downtown. With furnishings reminiscent of Europe and useful amenities, every room is created with comfort and convenience in mind.

    The amenities offered by the hotel are made to accommodate both business and leisure guests’ needs. That includes an onsite restaurant and lobby bar.

    Before heading out to explore downtown, visitors can start their day with breakfast at the AC Kitchen Café. At the AC Lounge, guests can unwind with Spanish wine and tapas in the evenings.

    The hotel also offers a variety of meeting and event spaces, which are good for business and social gatherings.

    “We’re excited to introduce AC Hotel Kansas City Downtown as a new destination in the city’s Financial District,” Alison Ewing-Meeler, the general manager said.

    “Our hotel combines modern comfort with the area’s rich history, offering guests a memorable stay.”

    Kansas City restaurant reopens following arson investigation

    The 13-story steel-framed building was once occupied by numerous physician offices and was considered one of Kansas City’s premier office spaces, according to Missouri Valley Special Collections .

    Several stories of the building were occupied by national corporations such as Sinclair Oil and Ozark National Life Insurance Company.
