Suspect arrested for 2018 killing of teen outside Cascone’s Restaurant

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Clay County prosecutors say after a nearly six-year search, a suspect is in custody for the 2018 killing of 18-year-old Erick Estrada .

Saul Bermudez was indicted by a Clay County grand jury in December 2018 and has remained at large until his recent arrest, according to the Clay County Prosecutor Zachary Thompson.

Estrada, an employee of Cascone’s Restaurant on North Oak Trafficway in Kansas City, Missouri, was shot and killed on March 25, 2018 .

Bermudez is charged with second-degree murder and armed criminal action. His bond is currently set at $1 million.
