Woman dies following crash on I-35 near I-635 in Johnson County

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — One person has died following a single-vehicle crash in Johnson County, Kansas.

The crash was reported just before 9:30 p.m. Tuesday on northbound Interstate 35, just north of Interstate 635, according to the Kansas Highway Patrol .

KHP reports the driver of a 2023 Dodge Charger was attempting to merge onto I-35 from I-635 when the driver left the roadway and rolled down the hill across the northbound lanes of I-35.

The driver of the Charger, who was not wearing a seatbelt, according to KHP, and was ejected from the vehicle.

She was taken to the University of Kansas Health System where she later died from her injuries. She has been identified as 38-year-old Jamie Sha’Quoia Gleason.
