KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Chiefs receiver Rashee Rice has left the game early in Los Angeles after colliding with quarterback Patrick Mahomes following an interception.

Rice was almost immediately officially ruled out for the rest of the game. When reporters asked head coach Andy Reid for an update on the emerging receiver’s status going into halftime, he responded by saying the injury was “not good.”

Further comments were made by Reid following the game. Currently, it appears as though the team is fearing the worst; an ACL tear. However, Rice will undergo more testing tomorrow to determine the extent of the injury, and how long it’ll keep the WR sidelined.

After yet another interception from Mahomes, Rice ran down Chargers’ Kristian Fulton, stripping the ball before colliding with a diving Mahomes.

It appears as though Rice’s knee has hyperextended during the play, and he immediately went down. Viewers were about to see Rice visibly struggling to stand on the sideline before being loaded onto the cart.

This is a developing story, FOX4 will provide updates as they’re made available.
