    Deputies find missing 9-year-old boy from Sibley, Missouri

    KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office was searching for a missing 9-year-old boy from Sibley, Missouri Monday morning.

    The sheriff’s office said Liam Smith was found safely a couple of hours after asking for help finding him.

    According to deputies, Smith was last seen in the area of North Buckner Tarsney Road and Santa Fe Street — less than a half-mile east of downtown Sibley — at about 6:45 a.m. Monday.

    He was described as a 9-year-old white boy with brown hair and blue eyes. At the time of his disappearance, he was wearing a gray tank top, black or gray shorts, and blue/white Converse shoes.

    He was previously found wading in the Missouri River, near Homer’s Landing at 32301 East Atherton Sibley Road .

    how did this happen? I have had three children and they were never alone. how could this happen to this child or the others that are randomly coming up missing. the children can not be alone people it's that simple.
