Million-dollar Missouri Lottery ticket sold at Independence QuikTrip

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — One Missouri Lottery player left an Independence QuikTrip with a life-changing ticket this September.

The player purchased a Mega Millions ticket, which ended up being worth $1 million in the September 24 drawing. He explained that the numbers they picked weren’t just a random combo either.

“The numbers were actually a combination of birthdays and my anniversary,” the winner said.

When the winner went back to the store, learning his ticket had hit big time, he said he couldn’t quite process what had happened.

“I was just stunned,” he said.

“I didn’t know what to say or do!”

The winning numbers from the September 24 drawing were 1, 6, 10, 23 and 27 with a Mega Ball number of 18.The winner said that his winning ticket came just in time.

“This really couldn’t have come at a better time,” he concluded.

Mega Millions is a multi-state drawing game, with drawings held every Tuesday and Friday evening at 10 p.m. This Friday’s jackpot is estimated at $108 million.
