    Deputies, KBI find missing 90-year-old Leavenworth man

    KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The Leavenworth County Sheriff’s Office announced that a 90-year-old man who disappeared Tuesday night in Leavenworth, Kansas was found safe.

    According to deputies, Dwane Monroe was last seen at about 6 p.m. Tuesday and is possibly driving a 2008 Ford Taurus with Kansas tag “2236AFG.”

    Before being found, he was last seen wearing jean overalls, a long-sleeved flannel shirt and black tennis shoes, according to deputies. Monroe could also be wearing a red, white and blue ball cap that reads, “swim brothers.”

    Deputies said Monroe may have been seen in Riley County sometime Wednesday morning.

    Now, Monroe is reported to be home and safe, according to local deputies.
