KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Fans were fired up at Kauffman Thursday afternoon and they all believed that the Royals could pull out the win in Game 4 of the ALDS against the New York Yankees.

With every sizzle of the grill, fans were giddy in anticipation of the game at the K; doing what KC does best.

Fans were more than cautiously optimistic.

“Erceg is fresh, dog, Michael Massey he’s a dog, Kyle Isabel he’s a dog, Salvy’s a dog, Witt he’s a Dog,” said another fan.

“This is Kansas City, we don’t mess around when it comes to the playoffs doesn’t matter if it’s football, doesn’t matter if it’s soccer, doesn’t matter if it’s baseball we’re coming to show up backs against the wall we can handle it,” another fan said.

Even former Royals pitcher Jamie Bluma knows the stakes.

“These guys don’t want to go home, they want to go Game 5 in New York and see what we can do throw the chips on the table. You play for situations like that if you don’t relish the opportunity to be in situations like that then you probably shouldn’t be playing this game that’s what we all dream about when we’re in the backyard being a kid,” Bluma said.

All on one accord that Bobby Witt Jr. our star will show up and do what he’s done to get us here.

“I would like to see Bobby Witt relax a little bit – you think the pressure is getting to him….the look on his face he seems a little stressed…but he is one of the reasons why we’re here,” one fan said.

“You know he’s capable of it but now is an opportunity…” Bluma said.
