    KCPD investigating homicide near 35th and Cleveland Ave

    KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The Kansas City, Missouri Police Department is investigating a homicide that occurred near East 35th Street and Cleveland Avenue today, October, 13 around 5:30 p.m.

    KCPD says that officers were dispatched to the area on a reported shooting. Upon arrival, those officers found an adult male in the parking lot of a convenience store suffering from gunshot wounds.

    Officers immediately began life-saving measures and ordered EMS, who pronounced the man dead when they arrived, according to police.

    The incident is now being investigated as a homicide. Detectives are currently working to find out what led up to the shooting, interviewing witnesses and processing the scene for any physical evidence.

    If anyone has any information, they’re asked to contact homicide detectives directly at 819-234-5043 or via the TIPS hotline at 816-474-TIPS. There is a reward of up to $25,000 for information submitted anonymously via the TIPS hotline.
