Chiefs fans already looking to the postseason after unbeaten start

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Hundreds of Chiefs fans packed the Power and Light district on Sunday, October 20 as the Chiefs faced the San Fransisco 49ers.

“I’m very excited, we’re going to win this game!” said Chiefs fan Maurice Davis.

“I think it’s going to be a close game but we’re going to win in the end.”

The Chiefs have been seeing the 49ers quite a bit recently. The 2 teams squared off in Super Bowl LIV and they would also see each other on the field in Super Bowl LVIII.

“It’s two teams that perennially win their division, two teams that match up really well together,” said another fan Sean Gleason.

“It’s always a good football game, I’m always excited to watch it.”

Gleason said it would be one of the best regular season games of the year.

“It doesn’t get any better. You got two great offensive head coaches, you got two great quarterbacks, great offenses, great defense. It’s good football,” he said.

Fans like Kent Harms were confident in the Chiefs’ ability to beat the 49ers.

“They’re winning games ugly, they’re just grinding through it,” he said.

“I have no concerns, none whatsoever.”

Harms also explained that he’d want to see a solid offensive performance.

“I’d like to see [Xavier] Worthy. Obviously, Travis [Kelce] is due. I’ve got him on my fantasy team so I’m hoping this is a breakout game for him!”

As the game clock winded down and the Chiefs’ win was imminent, Isaiah Conner’s mind was already thinking about the postseason.

“We ain’t ever seen this in our lives. A three-peat? That’s crazy!” he said.

“It’s a great celebration. It’s a great celebration to be the Chiefs, it’s a great celebration to be in Kansas City. We 6-0 baby! Chiefs 6-0!”
