In a July Instagram post, the business said the venture has taken “almost two years” to come into fruition.

The Sacramento Business Journal reported business owners signed a lease for the space in November 2022 after the previous tenant, Starbucks, closed. Chai is located next to multiple businesses in an area including a Target.

The coffee and tea shop is located nearly two miles away from the Sacramento State campus. Chaii is also located near multiple apartment complexes that house mostly college students.

According to its Instagram, Chaii is open seven days a week with differing times on certain days. The business is open from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Monday through Thursday, 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Friday, 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Saturday and 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Sunday.
