    Roseville resident found dead in burning home, fire found to be accidental

    (FOX40.COM) — While responding to a house fire in southern Roseville on Monday night firefighters located a person’s body inside the home, according to the Roseville Fire Department.

    At 6:35 p.m., fire crews responded to a house fire in the Cresthaven neighborhood where neighbors reported seeing smoke coming from the home, but the resident had not been seen outside the home.

    When crews arrived minutes after the initial report, they found smoke and flames coming from the home as neighbors were outside working to locate the homes resident.

    A rescue team entered the home as remaining firefighters outside the home began their fire attack.

    The resident was found inside the home and was declared dead. The cause of the fire was found to be accidental.
