Man dies, another sent to hospital in Elk Grove crash

(FOX40.COM) — A two-vehicle crash in Elk Grove left a man dead on Wednesday morning, according to the Sacramento Police Department.

Police said the crash happened around 10:30 a.m on Bruceville Road near Sheldon Road.

When officers arrived on scene with the Sacramento Fire Department, they said life saving measures were attempted, but a man was pronounced dead at the scene. Another man was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

“Due to the fatality, detectives from the Sacramento Police Major Collision Investigation Unit are responding to take over the investigation. Detectives and crime scene investigators will conducted a thorough canvass of the area for evidence, witnesses, and additional information,: police said.

The crash remains under investigation.
