    Yuba City vs. Marysville: Honkers take home win after first rival matchup in 15 years

    (FOX40.COM) — The first showdown in 15 years between long-time rivals Yuba City and Marysville ended with the brown and gold on top.

    On Friday night at War Memorial Stadium, the Honkers beat the Indians, 47-19.

    The game took place at War Memorial Stadium in Marysville, and excitement filled the air as the Yuba-Sutter communities celebrated a missed tradition of ‘battle of the bridges.’ Yuba City didn’t waste any time in exerting its dominance, jumping out to a 22-0 lead at halftime before going on to win by 28 points.
